You navigate executive leadership across diverse sectors—from hospitality and wellness at Protea Hotel Delta and Zenicure, to marine services at Tonco, and culinary disruption at 302 Chinese Restaurant. How do you maintain operational excellence across such varied industries? Thank you for having me on The IconicHer Spotlight. Regardless of the industry—whether it is oil and gas marine logistics or luxury wellness and hospitality—the core fundamentals of executive leadership remain constant: customer-centricity, strong operational systems, and safety-first standards. My background in Industrial Chemistry and HSE competence instilled a methodical, process-driven approach in me, while my experience in banking taught me the critical value of relationship management. By building robust, well-trained teams and establishing clear operational benchmarks, we ensure each venture delivers consistent quality and market leadership. Question 2 At 302 Chinese Restaurant, you successfully introduced a brand that disrupted the existing dining monopoly in Warri. What strategic steps were crucial in challenging an established market and capturing customer loyalty? Disrupting an established monopoly requires a deep understanding of unmet customer needs and an uncompromised commitment to quality. In Warri, consumers were looking for authentic, high-standard Chinese cuisine paired with an exceptional dining experience. We focused heavily on product authenticity, ambient design, and elevated customer service. By delivering a superior experience consistently, we converted curiosity into long-term customer loyalty and proved that regional markets in Delta State are ready for world-class, premium dining experiences. Question 3 You are currently pursuing an MBA at Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University. How is this executive education refining your intrapreneurial leadership and strategic outlook? Lagos Business School is renowned for developing transformative business leaders, and the MBA journey has been invaluable. It provides advanced frameworks in strategic management, corporate finance, and disruptive innovation that directly enhance how I evaluate risk, scale operations, and lead teams across our business portfolio. It reinforces my intrapreneurial mindset—continually searching for growth opportunities, operational efficiencies, and new value creation within existing corporate structures. Question 4 Beyond corporate leadership, you founded the Midas Heart Foundation (MHF) to empower vulnerable young girls through education, mentorship, and skills development. What personal motivation birthed this non-profit mission? The Midas Heart Foundation was born out of a firm belief that education and economic self-sufficiency are the ultimate tools for social transformation. Growing up and working in our communities, I saw many bright, vulnerable young girls whose potential was constrained simply by a lack of financial support or guidance. Through MHF, we provide educational scholarships, practical vocational training, and life-skills mentorship. When you empower a young woman to become self-sufficient, you break cycles of poverty and uplift an entire generation. Question 5 Prior to your leadership roles across hospitality and marine services, you built a strong foundation in banking and marketing at Guaranty Trust Bank. How did your early career in customer relationship management shape your approach to business today? My time at Guaranty Trust Bank was a foundational masterclass in customer service excellence, financial discipline, and corporate communication. In banking, trust is your currency, and every interaction matters. That customer-first ethos now underpins every single enterprise I lead today. Whether a guest is booking a stay at Protea Hotel by Marriott Delta, visiting Zenicure Spa, or a client is engaging Tonco Marine Services, our core promise is reliability, respect, and seamless service delivery. Question 6 As an accomplished intrapreneur and community champion featured in The IconicHer Spotlight, what advice do you have for young African women aspiring to lead multi-sector businesses and drive social impact? My advice is to cultivate a relentless commitment to learning and value creation. Do not be afraid to step into unfamiliar sectors—adaptability is your greatest strength. Invest in your personal and professional development through continuous education and certifications. Above all, ensure that as you climb the corporate ladder or scale your businesses, you reach back to lift others.
